-For adults, Smile makeover presents an alternative option to traditional braces (Orthodontics) and aligners. Aligners or braces involve physically moving your teeth which usually takes about 15-24 months. Smile makeover does not involve physically moving your teeth like what happens with braces or aligners. Smile makeover involves modifying the enamel of your existing teeth and then fabricating highly aesthetic custom made shells called PORCELAIN VENEERS to correct cosmetic dental problems. Here ,the existing tooth structure is reshaped and modified according to the requirement of the case. Then an impression of the modified teeth is taken. Then custom made PORCELAIN VENEERS are fabricated and bonded on your modified teeth.

We understand that you are eager to know the costs for your smile makeover. However since the cost of smile makeover is always customized, it can vary from patient to patient. Some patients need just one or two teeth and some patients need 6-10 teeth to achieve a good result with smile makeover .Porcelain veneers are not products sold by dentists. A smile makeover with porcelain veneers is a highly specialized service which requires detailed planning and expert execution. Everything depends on how many teeth need work and what work is required on those teeth. Crown or Veneer is a restoration fabricated to cover the natural tooth to hide any appearance related issues. The basic Porcelain crowns are porcelain fused to metal frame work called PFM. They do not allow the light to pass through and appear very OPAQUE. They always show a dark line next to the gum line that looks ugly. No. The procedure in not painful as the teeth are numbed(Anaesthetised) with local anaesthesia during the procedure.

Not necessary. You need to be present in the clinic only for 1-2 hours. You can attend to work the same day. Most of the times a simple analgesic on the day of procedure will take care of any discomfort.

Porcelain veneers are non-porous and will not stain or discolour unless the patients have habits like chewing tobacco and gutka etc.

You need to take care of them like how you take care of your teeth. Good brushing and flossing is required. They do not need any special maintenance beyond that. With good personal and professional care, porcelain veneers/crowns can last a lifetime. Patients with para-functional habits like night grinding may need to wear a NIGHT GUARD/ SPLINT. However we advise you to avoid using your front teeth as tools to tear open or break things.

You can eat almost all kinds of food normally on your veneered teeth. But you should avoid using your teeth as tools to open bottle caps, tear plastic sheets, and break ice or bite pens or pins.

No. They do not break easily. Just like your teeth only an accident can break them. In essence whatever can break your teeth can break the veneers too. But if one veneer is broken due to an accident only that one can be replaced. There is no need to replace the rest of the veneers.
